Easy homemade pizza dough recipe

Ingredients

For the dough
500g white bread flour
2 large pinches Cornish Sea Salt Crystals
7g dried yeast sachet
1/2 tablespoon caster sugar
2 tablespoon olive oil

Toppings of choice
Plus Cornish Sea Salt seasoning

Instructions

  1. Mix the white bread flour and Cornish Sea Salt Crystals in a large bowl.
  2. In a jug with 325ml of luke warm water, stir in the yeast, sugar and olive oil.
Pour the liquid into a well in the centre of the flour mix and begin to stir together using a fork.
  3. Once a dough has begun to form, tip onto a floured surface and begin to knead with your hands. Work until you have a smooth, elastic dough. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth and leave in a warm place for approximately 1hr until doubled in size.
  4. When it's ready to use, split into 2 equal halves, and begin to your desired shape (we think rectangular gives best results, but a classic round shape would also work). Shape with your hands or using a rolling pin if you would prefer.
  5. Then it's time to load up your homemade pizza dough with your toppings of choice! Try using one of Cornish Sea Salt's seasoning blends to create the most amazing flavours. We love to pair vegetarian pizzas with Really Garlicky Sea Salt or why not give meaty toppings a Chilli Hit Sea Salt.
  6. Cook in a pre-heated oven at 200°c for 10 - 15 minutes, or until golden on top and the dough is cooked.
