Boost your sports recovery: Cornish Sea Salt in isotonics


Isotonic drinks are quickly absorbed by the body after exercise and are packed with essential salts and sugars, called electrolytes. Including Cornish Sea Salt in your isotonic drink recipe will give the added benefit of our unique mineral profile, including vital sodium, potassium and magnesium, which really pack a punch when it comes to helping with a fast recovery. Here are some of our favourite recipes:


  • 150ml green tea
  • 0.4g Cornish Sea Salt Fine Flakes
  • 20ml ginger & lemongrass cordial
  • 20ml honey
  • 1ml gingko leaf extract


  • 120ml fruit tea
  • 0.4g Cornish Sea Salt Fine Flakes
  • 20ml blackcurrant cordial
  • 15ml maple syrup
  • 50ml orange juice


  • 150ml nettle tea
  • 0.5g Cornish Sea Salt Smoked Flakes
  • 75ml strawberry & apple juice
  • 20ml carob syrup


Choose your favourite recipe from above, then follow the steps below for the perfect isotonic drink. 

  1. Brew the tea, dissolving the electrolyte rich Cornish Sea Salt and the syrup into it. Allow to cool. 
  2. Combine with fruit juice and/or cordial and syrup.
  3. Check the seasoning, adjust to taste.
